We want to hear from writers who genuinely know their subject: entertainment journalists, critics, stylists, wedding planners, fitness and nutrition professionals, founders, marketers, technologists and travel writers.

The best contributions teach readers something useful, offer a fresh angle on a popular topic or bring first-hand experience that no one else can. Articles should be written for a general audience in clear, friendly New Zealand or international English.

Submission guidelines

What we look for

  • 100% original content that has not been published anywhere else, including your own site
  • 800 words or more, structured with clear sub-headings
  • Accurate, up-to-date information with links to credible sources
  • Royalty-free images you have the right to use, with credits
  • A short author bio of up to 50 words and a headshot (optional)

What we don’t accept

  • Copied, spun or unedited AI-generated content
  • Gambling, adult, CBD, weapons or crypto-promotion topics
  • Unverified claims or gossip about real people
  • Excessive, irrelevant or hidden links
  • Medical, legal or financial advice without credible sources

Formatting

  • Send a shareable document link (Google Docs or similar) or a Word file.
  • Use short paragraphs, descriptive sub-headings and bulleted lists where they help.
  • Suggest a headline of about 60 characters and a one-sentence summary.
  • Cite statistics and quotes with links to the original source.

Links and images

  • Links must help the reader and point to relevant, reputable pages.
  • Commercial links in guest posts are limited and may carry sponsored or nofollow attributes in line with search engine guidelines.
  • Images must be your own, licensed, or free to use commercially. Tell us the source and credit.
  • We may replace or remove any link or image at our editorial discretion.

How it works

  1. Pitch or submit

    Send your idea or your finished draft using the form below. Tell us who you are and why you are the right person to write it.

  2. Editorial review

    Our editors review every submission, usually within three working days, and let you know whether it is a fit.

  3. Edit and approve

    We may suggest changes for accuracy, clarity, length or house style. You will see the final version before it goes live.

  4. Publish and share

    Approved articles are published in the chosen category, credited to you and shared with our readers.

    How long does it take to publish?

    Approved posts usually go live within five working days of final edits. Sponsored articles and homepage features are scheduled with you in advance.

    Do you pay for guest posts?

    We do not currently pay for unsolicited guest posts. Contributors receive an author credit, a short bio and exposure to our readers.

    Are links do-follow?

    Link attributes follow our editorial policy and search engine guidelines. Commercial and sponsored links are marked appropriately.

    Can I publish the article elsewhere afterwards?

    Please do not republish the same article elsewhere. You are welcome to share a short extract with a link to the published piece.

    Can I edit my post after it’s published?

    Small factual updates are possible on request. Contact our editorial team with the article link and the change you need.

    Will my article be labelled as sponsored?

    Yes, if it is paid for in any way. Paid content is always clearly marked to protect our readers’ trust.
