1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of celebritymagazine.nz (the “website”), operated by Celebrity Magazine (“we”, “us” or “our”).

By accessing or using the website you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Using the website

You may use the website for your personal, non-commercial information and entertainment. You agree to use it lawfully and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the website.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors or interruptions.

3. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the website and its content, including articles, headlines, graphics, logos, design and code, are owned by or licensed to Celebrity Magazine and are protected by the Copyright Act 1994 and other intellectual property laws.

Photographs, videos and other media may belong to third parties and are used under licence, with permission or as otherwise permitted by law. Those owners retain their rights.

4. What you may and may not do with our content

You may

• read, share and link to our articles, including on social media;
• quote short extracts for commentary, criticism, review or news reporting, with a clear credit to Celebrity Magazine and a link to the original article;
• print or save a copy of an article for your own personal use.

You may not

• copy, republish, sell, rewrite or distribute our articles or images in full or in substantial part without our written permission;
• remove or alter any copyright notice, credit or attribution;
• use automated tools to scrape, harvest or mass-download content, or use our content to train machine-learning or AI systems without our written permission;
• frame the website or present our content in a way that suggests it is yours or that we endorse you.

5. Acceptable use

When using the website, including comments and forms, you must not:

• post or send anything that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, obscene or that invades anyone’s privacy;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
• send spam, chain messages, advertising or unsolicited commercial material;
• upload or transmit viruses, malware or any code designed to harm the website or its users;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or accounts, or interfere with its security or performance.

We may block access, remove content or take any other action we consider appropriate if these rules are broken.

6. Comments and user content

Where comments are available, you are responsible for what you post. By posting a comment you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, edit for length or clarity, moderate and display it in connection with the website.

We moderate comments and may edit, decline or remove any comment at our discretion, including comments that are off-topic, abusive or promotional. Comments reflect the views of their authors, not Celebrity Magazine. We take reports of harmful content seriously and act in line with the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015.

7. Guest posts and contributions

If you submit an article, image or other material to us (a “contribution”), you confirm that:

• the contribution is your original work, has not been published elsewhere and does not copy or closely paraphrase anyone else’s work;
• you own or have obtained all rights needed for us to publish it, including rights in any images;
• it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not contain defamatory, misleading or unlawful statements;
• you have disclosed any payment, sponsorship or commercial relationship connected with it.

You keep ownership of your contribution but grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to edit, publish, promote and archive it on the website and our channels. We may edit contributions for accuracy, clarity, length, house style and legal reasons, and may decline, unpublish or remove any contribution at our discretion. 8. Sponsored content, advertising and affiliate links

Some content on the website may be sponsored, produced in partnership with a brand or contain affiliate links that earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Such content is labelled so that you can tell it apart from independent editorial content, in line with the Fair Trading Act 1986 and our Editorial Policy.

Advertisers and partners are responsible for their own products, services and claims. Including an advertisement or link is not an endorsement, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are solely between you and them.

9. Accuracy, corrections and complaints

We work hard to make our content accurate and up to date, but news develops quickly and mistakes can happen. If you believe something we published is inaccurate or unfair, please contact editor@celebritymagazine.nz with the article link and details. We will review your concern promptly and correct or update the article where appropriate.

10. Copyright concerns

We respect the rights of creators. If you believe material on the website infringes your copyright, email editor@celebritymagazine.nz with the location of the material, proof of your ownership and your contact details. We will investigate and remove or credit the material where appropriate.

11. Third-party links and embedded content

The website contains links to, and embedded content from, third-party websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy or privacy practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis for general information and entertainment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations about the accuracy, completeness, reliability or suitability of the content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Celebrity Magazine and its editors, writers and contributors will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or its content, or from any website linked to it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Celebrity Magazine against any claims, losses, costs or liabilities arising from your breach of these Terms, from content you post or submit, or from your misuse of the website.

15. Privacy

Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Your continued use of the website after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the website.
